Annihilation – Set in a Florida nature reserve where a meteor has crashed causing unexplainable phenomenon, Natalie Portman heads up the stellar cast who go on a mission of discovery into Area X, only to find that nothing is as they know or expect beyond the mysterious Shimmer.

Director Alex Garland’s beautifully haunting take on Jeff VanderMeer’s first installment of The Southern Reach Trilogy by the same name. I wanted to create a piece of art that brought together all the parts of the incredibly detailed natural environment from the movie and bring the feeling of turbulent, ever-changing unease that runs through it.
