Studio 12, 12a Marlborough Place, Brighton, BN1 1WN
I'm Lon Chan, an illustrator working out of my studio next to Brighton's Royal Pavillion – here are some things you might like to know about me...
My artworks are intricately detailed, contemporary compositions that juxtapose both a stylishly glossy and hand-crafted quality – a unique combination of bold colours and hand-drawn lines.
As well as being selected by the jury for Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide I have exhibited my print artwork around the world including for Legendary Pictures Official Art Show, Tribe: The Art of KONG in New York, and the Baby Driver Art Show in London
Inspired by my love of natural history, pop culture and art nouveau, my work is the brainchild of the 80’s anglo-scandi-chinese melting pot I grew up in.
I trained as an architect before deciding that I'd rather be making beautiful artwork than buildings.
I've created illustration work for some great clients over the years from BBC Wildlife magazine to Purina. My illustrations have featured everywhere from beer cans to television and I was lucky enough to present a portrait to my all-time hero Sir David Attenborough as a 89th Birthday Present. Thanks for taking a look at my illustration, why not follow me on one of my social media accounts, to keep more up-to-date.
